The our property in Red Deer is located close to industries and all amenities in the environment. We are looking for a General Manger to head a team of professionals to mange this well performing property, owned, and operated by ZS Holdings Ltd. The property is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including 158 guest rooms, swimming pool and hot tub, meeting space.
We are looking for someone who’s an inspiring leader and operationally well-versed in all functions of the hotel and places the brand at the heart of all decisions, while delivering superior return on investment for the owner – to join our busy and professional team.
Your day to day
As the General Manager, you will work with the ownership to help manage every part of the hotel through close involvement in all operations. You will monitor service standards to ensure that all services (including outsourced services) meet brand standards and guest expectations while improving safety, security and energy conservation. You will establish clear performance goals for employees; provide regular feedback and hands-on coaching and support, leading the team by working directly with them in an approachable way.
Acting as a Brand Ambassador, you will place the brand at the center of all communications, marketing initiatives and actions. You will take an active role in sales-generating business and make use of market knowledge and social media to provide clear direction on Sales and Marketing and revenue strategies. Working with financial spreadsheets, you will make budgeting, forecasting decisions, review rates to increase revenue, profitability and maximum return on investment for your owner’s equity. As the General Manager you will be accountable and responsible for the hotel 24/7. It will be your responsibility to communicate if you are planning to not be available should an emergency arise at the property when you are off and be approved by ownership.
