Food & Beverage Team Leader

InterContinental Wellington is looking for a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Team Leader to join our team! 

Located next to Wellington's waterfront, InterContinental Wellington is the most centrally situated five-star hotel in New Zealand's capital. The hotel offers exceptional culinary experiences with five diverse food and beverage outlets, perfect for any occasion.

Your day to day

As a Food & Beverage Team Leader, you'll use your friendly and approachable personality to create unforgettable experiences by delivering excellent service to our guests. You'll confidently interact with a diverse range of guests, address any issues that arise, and train staff on service and product knowledge. Your understanding of hospitality operations will help ensure the team runs smoothly and consistently provides exceptional service. Collaborating with the Food & Beverage Supervisor and Manager, you'll implement new initiatives while focusing on developing your leadership skills to inspire and grow the team.

What we need from you 

• Have flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays
• 2+ years experience in a restaurant, bar or hotel environment
• Deliver a high level of service that our customers have come to expect
• Great communication skills to interact with both customers & the team
