About Us

Holiday Inn Werribee is an IHG hotel proudly showcasing the new open lobby concept.  Our modern and versatile food & beverage outlets will prove Holiday Inn Werribee to be a premier venue in Melbourne’s West. 

Situated in the heart of the Werribee city centre, the hotel will occupy the top 4 floors of the mixed use 12 storey premises and boasts sweeping views right across to the You Yangs and Wyndham Harbour.  The hotel will offer 150 stylishly appointed guest rooms, gym, outdoor garden courtyard, all day dining and modern conference and events spaces.

 

A little taste of your day to day 

  • Oversee and coordinate daily food and beverage operations, including front-of-house activities, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. 
  • Coaching, mentoring and training colleagues whilst leading and coordinating the operational outlets.  
  • People development check in conversations, probationary reviews and annual performance reviews 
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints and concerns, solicit feedback and build relationships that drive continuous improvements in guest satisfaction.  
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food handling and alcohol service standards. 
  • Rostering colleagues in accordance to the outlets business forecasts and requirements, managing labor costs, and optimising shift efficiency. 
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimising waste. 
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between front- and back-of-house operations. 
  • Implement and enforce company policies, including cash handling, upselling techniques, and customer service protocols. 
  • Ensure proper setup, execution, and breakdown of conference and event spaces, including catering and beverage services tailored to client specifications. 
  • Assist in menu planning, special promotions, and event coordination as needed 
  • Lead by example, be the point of contact for all guests during their dining experience 
  • Delivering Food and Beverage service of the highest standard by personally welcoming, recognising return guests and overall providing genuine warmth and thoughtful hospitality. 
  • Going above and beyond for guests and clients, understanding their needs and always making their experience memorable. 
  • Manage stock responsibly ensuring appropriate control and ordering to balance budget, demand and par levels 

 

What we need from you 

  • A team player with a positive, can do attitude and strong drive for results  
  • Engaging interpersonal and excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task various priorities working across a range of outlet areas during each shift 
  • Be well organised, planning in advance, ability to adapt and embrace unexpected operational situation changes 
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities being firm and fair with people management  
  • Commitment with flexibility to work a rotational roster that includes early mornings starting at 6.30am, afternoons, late evenings until 1am, weekends and public holidays are all part of the job 

 

Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage or hospitality industry, with experience in conference and event operations preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service standards, menu planning, inventory management, and event catering. 
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team across dining and event settings. 
  • Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office). 
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred). 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate event schedules. 
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel dining, or event catering environment. 
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage pairing for both dining and event menus. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail in event planning and execution.
