Food & Beverage Supervisor - Riverside Restaurant

At InterContinental Adelaide, our Riverside Restaurant offers elegant buffet breakfast dining & High Tea experiences in a premium waterfront setting. We’re now looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor to support the food and beverage team in the day-to-day operations, lead service delivery, and mentor a high-performing team to create memorable dining experiences that reflect the luxury of our brand. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining exceptional service standards and attention to detail.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Supervise the restaurant during service, making sure everything runs smoothly and to a high standard.
• Support and guide team members during shifts, making sure they follow service and grooming standards.
• Check daily tasks like setting tables, cleaning, opening/closing the restaurant, and preparing drinks and service areas.
• Help manage staff rosters, including filling shifts and adjusting when people are sick or unavailable.
• Look after stock and supplies – place orders, help with stock counts, and fix any stock issues.
• Speak with guests politely and professionally, and report any serious problems to the manager.
• Help train new staff and support current team members to improve skills and service.
• Run pre-shift meetings to prepare and motivate the team before service.
• Follow all safety and health rules, and make sure the team works safely too.
• Work well with other departments and set a good example for the team.

What We Need From You:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a team leader or senior Food & Beverage service role, ideally within a hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and delegation skills with a hands-on approach to service delivery.
• Proven ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
• Sound knowledge of stock and inventory management processes.
• Solid understanding of workplace health & safety procedures and compliance.
• Professional personal presentation and reliability.
• Full Australian working rights are required.
