As a Server at Publico Ristorante, you will be the face of our vibrant Italian dining experience, delivering warm, engaging, and polished service to every guest. You’ll take pride in providing attentive, detail-driven hospitality, ensuring every meal is memorable. From presenting our dishes with passion to anticipating guest needs, you will play a vital role in creating an authentic and elevated dining atmosphere that reflects the heart of Publico.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

People

  • Work closely with fellow servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Participate in pre-shift briefings and assist teammates during peak periods.
  • Foster a positive and respectful team environment by being a reliable and proactive team player.
  • Take initiative to support new team members through peer learning and hands-on assistance.

Financial

  • Apply basic upselling techniques to recommend dishes, beverages, and promotions that enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensure accurate order taking and billing with minimal errors or wastage.
  • Handle equipment, glassware, and cutlery with care to reduce breakage and unnecessary costs.
  • Monitor side station supplies and inform supervisors when restocking is needed.

Guest Experience

  • Deliver warm, attentive, and personalized service that reflects the hospitality standards of Publico.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the menu and be able to answer basic guest questions about ingredients and specials.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to feedback or requests with sincerity and promptness.
  • Ensure tables are promptly set, cleared, and reset with efficiency and attention to detail.

Responsible Business

  • Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols in line with food service and hotel standards.
  • Support sustainable practices such as minimizing food waste and conserving resources during shifts.
  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Take care of your uniform, service tools, and shared workspace to contribute to a clean and professional environment.

What we need from you 

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant or bar environment, preferably in a full-service or lifestyle dining setting.
  • A passion for hospitality with a genuine interest in creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverages, with a willingness to learn more about Italian cuisine and service traditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and confident presence.
  • A team player who contributes to smooth daily operations and supports colleagues during peak hours.
  • Able to take direction well and respond positively to feedback and training.
  • Detail-oriented, with a professional approach to service, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Well-groomed and presentable, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Open to working on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and adaptable to a fast-paced restaurant environment.
