InterContinental Wellington is seeking a passionate and service driven Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team, with the primary focus on In‑Room Dining. This part time role offers approximately 18 hours per week, predominantly during evening shifts (3pm - 11.30pm)
Located next to Wellington’s waterfront, InterContinental Wellington is the most centrally located five‑star hotel in New Zealand’s capital. With five diverse food and beverage outlets, our dedication to exceptional service extends to our In‑Room Dining offering, providing guests with the luxury of personalised dining from the comfort of their room.
Your day to day
As Food & Beverage Attendant, you will work mainly within the In‑Room Dining team, helping deliver a seamless experience for guests choosing private dining.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering meals and beverages to guest rooms
- Ensuring all orders are accurate, beautifully presented, and meet five‑star standards
- Setting up in‑room dining tables and trolleys to create an elevated dining atmosphere
- Assisting guests with menu knowledge, recommendations, and special requests
- Clearing and resetting rooms in a timely, discreet, and tidy manner
- Coordinating with the kitchen and wider Food & Beverage team to maintain smooth service flow
- Supporting other F&B outlets when required
What we need from you
- A genuine passion for providing warm, attentive service
- Strong communication skills with confidence interacting with guests and colleagues
- Previous experience in a fast‑paced café, bar, restaurant, or hotel environment
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A valid New Zealand work visa or residency (essential)
