Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Director of Finance & Business Support to prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time, in line with IHG accounting policies, approved SOPs, and local statutory requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash and banking, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.
  • Review, approve, and maintain documentation such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Keep month-end and year-end closing processes running smoothly and on schedule.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and analyse variances to spot trends and opportunities early.
  • Work closely with department heads to gather financial inputs and support budget control across the hotel.
  • Review and approve expense claims and invoices within authority limits, ensuring strong internal controls at all times.
  • Support business planning by providing clear financial analysis and meaningful insights.
  • Play a key role in internal, external, and IHG audits by preparing schedules, responding to queries, and following up on action items.
  • Maintain well-organised financial records and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning alongside the DOFBS.
  • Guide, supervise, and support finance team members where applicable, helping the team grow and perform.
  • Take on additional finance-related tasks or special projects as needed to support the hotel’s goals.
