Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and hotel brand policies.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and forecasting.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist the Director of Finance in leading the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in coordination with department heads.
Monitor departmental expenses against budgets, ensuring adherence to cost control measures.
Provide financial insights to support business strategies and decision-making.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure proper implementation of financial policies and procedures across departments.
Payroll & Accounts Management
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments and guest billing.
Monitor credit management and collection processes.
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, train, and mentor the finance team to maintain high performance and accuracy.
Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Business Support
Advise the Director of Finance, General Manager and Executive Committee on financial implications of business decisions.
Support operational departments with financial analysis for revenue optimization and cost efficiency.
Participate actively in management meetings to align financial strategies with hotel goals.
Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CA/CPA/ACCA preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
Strong knowledge of hospitality financial systems (Opera, Sun Systems, SAP, or similar).
Solid understanding of local tax laws, compliance, and audit processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
