We are seeking a creative, passionate, and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead and manage all culinary operations at voco Muscat Al Mouj. The Executive Chef will be responsible for menu development, food quality, kitchen staff leadership, inventory control, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience across all outlets, including restaurants, in-room dining, banquets, and catering.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of all culinary areas, including restaurants, banquets, room service, and special events.
  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food and maintain consistent standards.
  • Create innovative, seasonal, and cost-effective menus that align with the hotel's concept and guest expectations.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards in compliance with local and corporate regulations.
  • Monitor food costs, kitchen labor, and inventory to ensure budgetary goals are met.
  • Collaborate with the F&B team on special promotions, events, and group menus.
  • Manage supplier relationships, food purchasing, and inventory systems to ensure high-quality and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Control waste, maintain food cost targets, and implement best practices in sustainability and kitchen efficiency.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections and ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • Handle guest feedback and special dietary requests with professionalism and care.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role as Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef, preferably in a hotel or upscale dining environment.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a strong foundation in various cuisines and cooking techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large kitchen brigades.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, HACCP, and sanitation regulations.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, food costing, and inventory control.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, and events.
