Executive Chef Opportunity – Lead Culinary Excellence in Paradise 

We're offering a unique opportunity for a creative and experienced Executive Chef to take the reins of a thriving culinary operation at one of the most picturesque luxury resorts in the world. This role is perfect for a passionate, innovative leader committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations—from crafting exquisite menus and maintaining top-tier food quality to managing staff and ensuring smooth daily workflows. You'll play a key role in shaping unforgettable guest experiences across various dining venues, including large-scale banquets for up to 500 guests, a signature restaurant, two premium bars, Club InterContinental, private dining, and in-room dining services. 

 

Your Daily Recipe for Success 

  • Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, including planning, costing, and maintaining quality in a high-end setting 
  • Develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends and guest preferences 
  • Deliver beautifully presented, flavorful dishes with your signature culinary touch 
  • Manage inventory, kitchen equipment, and reduce waste 
  • Supervise, schedule, and mentor kitchen staff, cultivating a performance-driven, efficient team

What we need from you 

  • At least 5 years’ leadership experience in kitchen operations. 
  • A portfolio of culinary work that speaks volumes about your creativity, commitment to quality and that you're proud to showcase. 
  • Mandatory certifications include Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is essential 
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivation, organisational and training abilities.  
  • Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalise our Guests stay and provide your local wisdom to enhance their experience  
  • Ongoing availability to work flexibly as rostered, including nights, weekends and public holidays 
  • Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene  
  • Ability to handle large amounts of information at once and deal with various requests simultaneously  
  • Good communication and writing skills. 
  • Physical fitness as you’ll be on your feet most of the day. Sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull objects, such as tables, up to 23 kg – we have the equipment to support you and keep you safe. 
  • Pacific Experience is an advantage but not at all a necessary.
