We’re searching for an Engineering Coordinator to support the Engineering team with effective coordination, timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and smooth day-to-day maintenance operations at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Providing day-to-day administrative and operational coordination support to the Engineering department
● Receiving, recording, prioritizing, and following up on maintenance requests and work orders from hotel departments
● Coordinating with Engineering colleagues to ensure guest room, public area, back-of-house, and facility maintenance requirements are attended to promptly
● Maintaining accurate records of preventive maintenance schedules, completed work orders, breakdowns, repairs, and outstanding maintenance issues
● Assisting in coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for hotel equipment, systems, facilities, and building infrastructure
● Following up with Engineering colleagues and relevant departments on outstanding maintenance requests and ensuring timely closure of work orders
● Coordinating with external contractors, service providers, and vendors for scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and technical services as required
● Assisting with scheduling contractor visits and ensuring appropriate access, documentation, and coordination with relevant hotel departments
● Maintaining organized records of service reports, maintenance contracts, warranties, equipment manuals, inspection certificates, and other engineering documentation
● Assisting with the preparation of engineering reports, maintenance logs, checklists, energy consumption reports, and other departmental records
● Supporting the Engineering department with inventory monitoring, requisitions, and availability of spare parts, tools, engineering supplies, and consumables
● Coordinating closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Security, Finance, and other departments to ensure maintenance requirements are communicated and followed through
● Assisting with room maintenance coordination by monitoring reported defects and ensuring rooms are returned to service promptly after completion of work
● Supporting the implementation of preventive maintenance programs and ensuring scheduled activities are properly documented and followed up
● Assisting with energy and utility monitoring and maintaining accurate records of electricity, water, fuel, and other utility consumption as required
● Supporting safety inspections, statutory inspections, fire and life safety checks, and other compliance-related engineering activities
● Ensuring engineering documentation and records are maintained accurately, securely, and in accordance with hotel procedures
● Supporting the Engineering team during hotel events, inspections, projects, and other operational requirements as assigned

What We need from you:

● Diploma or higher education qualification in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hotel Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
● Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an engineering, maintenance, technical coordination, or similar role, preferably within a hotel environment
● Basic understanding of hotel engineering operations, building systems, preventive maintenance, and facilities management
● Strong organizational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-up
● Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with hotel departments, contractors, and service providers
● Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
● Familiarity with maintenance management systems, work order systems, preventive maintenance schedules, or hotel engineering systems preferred
● Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation
● Proactive approach to identifying and following up on maintenance requirements and outstanding issues
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
● Good understanding of workplace safety, electrical safety, equipment handling, and other relevant health and safety requirements
● Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to operational requirements based on business needs
