Job Summary
The Distribution Effectiveness Specialist owns channel effectiveness reporting to ensure high-Rate Parity and continued success of IHG’s owned and partnered ecommerce platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own, develop, maintain and progress all ecommerce central reporting as part of distribution initiatives, and integrate with relevant channel reporting
- Own the Compliance processes that are implemented by the Channel and Distribution teams (for example, the Wholesale Compliance process requires monitoring of test bookings and ongoing escalation into various processes
- Partner with the shopping teams including interns to ensure high quality reviews of ecommerce channels and efficient execution / data quality
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to various elements of the Distribution team and other key stakeholders around the effectiveness of measures to improve ecommerce integrity
- Provide real-time insights or thoughts as it relates to the reporting
- Establish & support key program meetings, update project timelines and trackers, and record key outcomes and deliverables
- Compose and type communications including key program updates if and when relevant
- Present findings at monthly performance data reviews including highlighting changes in the ecommerce environment that are unearthed by the interns or other shopping teams
- Provides support in project training or communication as required
- Provide administrative support to Line Manager as required
- Support negotiations with OTAs and GDS at a higher level, dealing with contracts and agreements that cover multiple properties. Complete regular contract audits. Handle OTA billing. Approve new partners and sign off on certification for go live
- Support and execute distribution strategies across an assigned portfolio that spans multiple regions and countries.
- Own distribution partnership communications and Merlin updates
- Schedule and track projects
- Initiate contact with prospects and generate leads
- Maintain relationships with key internal and external partners; coordinate efforts between departments
- Approximate work mix: 90% Distribution Effectiveness / 10% Administrative
2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills –
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in Office 365 – Powerpoint & Excel required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for drafting program documents, communicating with stakeholders, or drafting internal communications.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and projects accurately and on time.
- Problem-solving, positive attitude and vigor; must be willing to pitch in on multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly proactive.
- Data manipulation, compilation, and analysis skills
- Qualifications –
- Bachelor Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Experience
- 3 or more years of relevant experience; ideally including prior reporting and data compilation or ecommerce experience.
