What is the job?

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our culinary team at Hotel Indigo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining services.

Your day to day

Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen.
Assist kitchen staff organization as needed.
Minor kitchen prep as needed – light knife work
Properly sort and dispose of waste and recycling materials.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and cleanliness.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Participate in deep cleaning and sanitation tasks as assigned.
 

What we need from you

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting preferred, but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Food Handler Certification
