Provide leadership and development of Total Reward strategies for all corporate and hotel employees based in the Greater China Region. Ensure programs are aligned with business strategies consistent with corporate policy/philosophy, provide a competitive advantage, are cost-effective, and achieve intended behavioral results. Ensure fiduciary responsibility and regulatory compliance on behalf of the Company. Support the continuous improvement/development of HR programs, policies, practices and processes to support corporate strategies and growth of the Region.
Your day to day
- Develop compensation, benefits and mobility programs for the Greater China Region and collaborate with HRBP to deliver programs that are cost-efficient, and aligned with demographics, market practices and talent strategies.
- Deliver effective compensation programs to include base pay, incentive plan design and development, Regional salary structure development, market pay analysis, and job evaluation. Ensure job documentation, market data, job titling criteria, and Regional and specialized incentive structures are consistently maintained to IHG standards. Collaborate with Global C&B team members as needed to ensure alignment with corporate reward strategies and frameworks.
- Develop corporate benefit programs and collaborate with HRBPs to review existing programs and recommend changes to deliver programs that meet the needs and are aligned with corporate strategies. Ensure all benefit programs are delivered in accordance with plan provisions and regulatory requirements.
- Work with global mobility team to develop mobility policies relevant to GC and effectively attract, retain and manage the talent needed to support the growth of the Region while ensuring alignment and compliance with existing global policies and regulatory requirements.
- Continually monitor and assess the competitiveness of all compensation, benefit and mobility programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries and markets and ensure IHG’s competitiveness in the market.
- Develop and deliver communications, briefings, presentations, and other materials to enhance manager and employee knowledge and understanding of Total reward programs and to ensure effectively delivery of the employer brand promise in GC.
- Coach, empower and develop team members, act as an advisor for the team.
What we need from You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Professional certification(s) in Human Resources and/or Compensation preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong background in compensation and benefits, with experience developing and implementing comprehensive rewards strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. Reward consulting experience and CGRP, CCP and/or CBP certification highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity-based compensation.
- Experience working within Greater China, understanding of culture
- Experience conducting market research and benchmarking to ensure that rewards programs are competitive and attractive to current and potential employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences.
- Knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws and issues related to compensation, benefit and mobility/expat programs.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing compensation and benefit programs as well as an understanding of the strategic aspects of Human Resources.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written to address all levels within the organization and ability to gain consensus.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Strong computer skills to include demonstrated proficiency particularly in Excel and Powerpoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of rewards programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Experience leading a team of compensation and benefits professionals and providing guidance and support as needed.
