Functional Objective

Ensure the Six Senses vision of Sustainability is instilled within the resort, felt by hosts and guest alike

 Minimum Requirement  

Fluency in spoken and written French and English  

Hospitality experience

Sustainability experience

Preferable bachelor’s in hospitality management or field related to Sustainability  

Comfortable interacting with guests, representing the brand publicly

Sincerity, Hardworking, & resourcefulness. Carries the values of the brand.

Comprehension on the nexus of Sustainability within each department of a resort

Main Tasks

Oversight and continuous improvement of Sustainable Operations as per internal Sustainability Guidelines, with the goal of maximising resource efficiency, and reducing carbon footprint.

Instilling sustainability culture within the establishment, such that Sustainability is believed by our hosts, and felt by our guests.

Management of the Sustainability Fund, managing its finances and quantifying impact. Continuous management of these relationships and selection of projects based on impact.

Management of the Earth Lab, bringing sustainability to life through workshops and related- guest experiences.

Technical Tasks

Responsibility of Sustainability Reporting: Green Engage (engineering data), Earth Lab Production, Waste Diversion.

Conducting of the annual Sustainability Audit, Plastic Audit, Food Mile Audit, & Waste Audit . 

Training of hosts on all matters pertaining to Sustainability: Orientation, Mandatory Trainings, Reorientation, Department specific trainings.

Continuous improvement on sustainability audits, GSTC compliance, and all other relevant certifications and local compliances.

Maintain strong and transparent relationships with the community: NGOs, Schools, Government and all relevant local stakeholders.

Collaboration with Experience team, bringing sustainability to life for guests, through in-house or third-party experiences activation.

Collaboration with Sales and Marketing on press, journalism, collaterals, social media, storytelling.

Collaborate with Finance on Sustainable Procurement, Contracts Drafting, Clauses, Supplier Engagement.  

Collaborate with Engineering team on Energy Efficiency, Reporting, Landscaping, Pest Control and Security, Energy Conservation Committee.

Collaborate with F&B and Culinary team Sourcing, Menu Design, Storytelling, Food Waste etc.

Conducting of the annual Sustainability Audit, Plastic Audit, Food Mile Audit, & Waste Audit.  

Assume the role of a leader of the property, instilling core brand pillars within the establishment. Create bonds with hosts such that sustainability is authentically felt throughout.

Management of Sustainability team, with heavy involvement in Stewarding, Landscaping, & Experiences team.

Planning and Hosting of UN Sustainability Days (Earth Day, International Bee Day, etc), for internal and external activation.

Management & Continuous Improvement of Waste Management Program.  

Perform all additional tasks assigned by GM or VP Sustainability .
