Wellness
The Director safeguards and promotes the Six Senses wellness philosophy, concepts, programs, and brand initiatives. This includes leading and participating in Mission Wellness activities. These initiatives are integrated into departmental strategy, planning, and daily operations.
They ensure that the pillars of wellness are fully embraced and implemented throughout the property.
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to Six Senses operations. The Director ensures that all environmental directives—such as protection and preservation, reuse and waste reduction, responsible purchasing and packaging (including the elimination of single-use plastics), and social responsibility—are followed within the department. They set goals aligned with the Sustainability Guidelines to continuously improve departmental performance while maintaining a respectful approach to the environment and local culture.
Out of the Ordinary

Operational Ownership
The Director assumes full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Spa & Wellness department, ensuring exceptional products and services that meet Six Senses brand standards and budget expectations.
They work strategically with the General Manager to set cohesive goals and establish procedures to achieve them, maintaining consistency with the company’s vision and brand identity. Collaboration with the Executive Team and other departments ensures a unified culture of excellence, measured through guest satisfaction metrics and social media feedback.
Key responsibilities include:
- Staying current with industry trends to enhance offerings.
- Continuously rejuvenating the department.
- Evaluating wellness offerings, spa treatments, fitness classes, and equipment to ensure relevance and alignment with brand standards.
- Reviewing amenities, services, products, and pricing for consistency with wellness and sustainability practices.
- Maintaining rigorous adherence to LQA standards through active presence across the property.
- Leading a team of engaged hosts to deliver exceptional service.
- Overseeing the implementation of wellness initiatives across the property, especially in Spa and Fitness areas.
- Organizing workshops and lectures on health and wellness for hosts and guests.
- Managing documentation, reporting, contracts, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Developing and executing marketing plans across publicity, sales, CRM, and promotions to drive revenue.
- Promoting spa and wellness offerings pre-arrival and during guest stays, coordinating with other departments to meet sales goals.
- Managing the Visiting Experts calendar, updating spa packages and menus to reflect brand updates and guest needs.
- Ensuring spa websites are current.
- Monitoring and reporting accurate sales and revenue data.
- Upholding high standards of personal grooming, safety, and emergency procedures for all hosts.
- Facilitating clear communication between departments to support smooth operations.
- Ensuring ethical conduct and compliance with local laws.
- Managing departmental budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability while preserving quality.
- Preparing and submitting required legal and confidential documentation.
- Attending and conducting meetings as directed by the General Manager.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
People Management
The Director is responsible for the performance, development, and management of all hosts within the Spa & Wellness department. This includes providing direction, motivation, discipline, evaluations, and counseling to build a loyal and effective team.
They collaborate with Human Resources to recruit individuals who embody the Six Senses standard of service and identify high-potential talent for development. Individual Development Plans are created and executed to support career growth.
The Director leads by example, maintaining professionalism and adhering to Six Senses principles, values, and best practices. They foster a respectful, inclusive, and proactive work environment that supports team cohesion and excellence.
Responsible Business
All departmental activities are conducted ethically, honestly, and in full compliance with local laws. The Director of Spa & Wellness ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, hosts, and hotel assets, adhering to the policies and procedures of the hotel or ownership group, as well as regulatory requirements. They maintain strong relationships with external contacts and actively encourage host participation in community organizations, local activities, and businesses.
Accountability
The Director of Spa & Wellness is a visible, proactive leader with strong organizational skills and the ability to provide focused direction. They play a key role in reinforcing the company’s market position through strategic decision-making and a proven track record in customer satisfaction, operational excellence, host engagement, revenue generation, and profitability. The Director is also capable of representing the property in high-profile business and social community engagements.
Skills and Experience
To fulfill the responsibilities of the Director of Spa & Wellness, the individual possesses relevant qualifications in Wellness or Hotel Management, along with technical expertise and a minimum of five years’ experience in a comparable or senior role within luxury wellness, spa, and fitness operations. Their background includes formal education in anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, and beauty therapy, ideally certified through NVQ, ITEC, or CIDESCO programs.
The Director demonstrates proficiency in technology platforms including advanced Microsoft Office, Spa Management systems, and Outlook. They have an excellent command of written and spoken English, with working knowledge of the local language and customs.
The role is based on property in Grenada. No remote work at this time.

The salary range for this role is salary is $ 3,000 - 3,500 net USD per month.
