Join us as a Director of Sales & Marketing for both Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong (131 rooms, 1 meeting rooms& 1 F&B Outlet) & Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong (451 rooms, no F&B Outlets),

You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can:

  • Oversees and leads all aspects of the Sales and Marketing Strategy within own hotels. Responsibilities include overseeing/leading the planning and development of all strategies and marketing plans and management of a high performing culture within the team.
  • Support General Manager by coordinating and providing guidance to the hotels' sales and marketing teams within the assigned area with an aim to drive hotels performance by maximizing and leveraging on IHG global scale and resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce Strategies and SMART Action Plans related to the Sales/Marketing Revenue Plan to ensure revenue budgeted objectives and Key Performance Objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and drive execution of 1 to 3 year strategic Sales & Marketing Plan for hotels or destination, review performance, successes, analyze failures and adjust approach.
  • Support the execution of the brand hearted agenda, improve guest experience at the hotel level and build brand health to include positioning workshops, develop a greater understanding of the target and core customer for hotels.
  • Create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotels to potential clients. Attend trade shows and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotels.
  • Review monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.
  • Responsible for the people management of the Commercial team on hotel level (e.g. Sales, Reservations, Marcom) including but not limited to recruitment, performance management, development of the team.
  • Create and implement SMART programs to achieve top-line RGI out-performance through:
  • Increasing average rate
  • Increasing overall occupancy
  • Increasing business volume during off-peak periods.
  • Increasing local Food & Beverage and Banquet/Wedding Sales
  • Organize and promote, in cooperation with the Food & Beverage Department special projects to stimulate Food & beverage sales within the community, including, but limited to, tournaments, balls, parties, gastronomic festivities, etc.
  • Review regularly activity reports and ensure targets and Sales objectives are met.
  • Investigate potential markets by:
  • Reviewing government statistics on visitors to the city/resort destination/country.
  • Analyzing competition's sales/promotion efforts.
  • Studying internal customer data and industry publications for sales leads
  • Manage the development of new products and services through effective Sales and Marketing Plans.
  • Embed IHG Way of Sales and Marketing into team and ensure Sales team are using Sales Standard Operating Procedures effectively.
  • Work with Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs and ensure team have clear KPO targets.
  • Work with Director of Finance in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget.
  • Interact with individuals outside the hotel, including, but not limited to clients, Convention Bureaus, local Hotel Associations, Government Tourist offices, Airlines, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, competitors and other members of the local community

Communications:

  • Distribution – Drive Rate parity, OTA content scores, effective communication and implementation of functional updates for the country.
  • Coordinates and shares constant feedback with Hotel team on market intelligence and competitor’s sales / promotion efforts.
  • Works closely with the Revenue Management to ensure effective use of revenue management systems and country strategies, allocation strategies in the assigned hotels to maximize revenue opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a Leading Director of Sales and Marketing role
  • Experience in launching multi-brands in multi-national markets.
  • International strategic sales and marketing experience
