The Director of Procurement, Food & Beverage (F&B), will lead strategy, sourcing, and supplier management for IHG’s U.S. F&B procurement program, driving value in a complex, franchised hospitality environment. This role is critical to delivering quality, cost-effective, and innovative F&B offerings at scale, enhancing guest experiences. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, Category, the Director will align procurement initiatives with IHG’s business goals and guest expectations through strategic collaboration with hotel owners, operators, and cross-functional teams.
Your day to day
- Develop and execute a U.S.-focused F&B procurement strategy aligned with IHG’s “Operate” framework, optimizing processes and supplier performance, and collaborating with teams in Canada and Latin America as needed to support broader Americas goals.
- Drive cost savings and value optimization through structured sourcing events, competitive RFPs, and supplier negotiations, leveraging IHG’s scale.
- Refine procurement and contracting models, including Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), foodservice distributor, and manufacturer agreements, to maximize ROI for hotel owners and operators.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Category Managers and Specialists, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and timely delivery of projects and contracts.
- Collaborate with Brand, Operations, and other teams to support F&B innovation, product quality, and supply continuity, while representing procurement in leadership and supplier engagements.
- Establish supplier relationship management best practices, including KPIs, business reviews, compliance monitoring, and responsible, ethical, and sustainable sourcing standards.
- Analyze spend and market intelligence to inform decisions, mitigate risk, and enhance category performance.
- Communicate the value of procurement programs to hotel owners, operators, and stakeholders to drive adoption and alignment.
What we need from you
- Proven success in procurement and sourcing within food and beverage, hospitality, or franchised environments.
- Expertise in negotiating complex GPO, foodservice distributor, and manufacturer agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing procurement teams.
- Deep knowledge of F&B cost drivers, supplier landscape, and category trends across the Americas.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with proficiency in developing presentations for senior leadership.
- Experience with procurement tools, analytics platforms, and digital insights to drive sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with supplier diversity, sustainability, and responsible sourcing principles preferred.
Travel - 20% travel required
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the ATLANTA office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $165,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K and other benefits to employees.
