As Director of Human Resources, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them.
My primary objective is to lead the Human Resources department across all aspects of HR to provide exceptional products and services in line with Six Senses vision, values and pillars while following our brand guidelines and managing the HR budget, to drive profitability through effective cost control while maintaining brand standards.
Duties and responsibilities
- Work with the General Manager and other executives to set strategic goals for the property and the HR team
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager, Executive team and operations on correlated product standards and ensure that the brand provides a systematic culture that delivers excellent guest service results
- Be a strategic HR business partner to the General Manager and hotel leaders, helping the business succeed by setting the HR strategy, addressing HR challenges, and leading the entire HR cycle at the property
- Design and implement the property human resources plan including manpower, benefits and payroll budget
- Oversee training for the property including managing training and orientation plans
- Oversee recruitment end to end, including careers fairs and regular update of job descriptions
- Drive talent management by reviewing host ratios, succession planning, individual development plans and performance management
- Conduct periodic salary and benefits surveys and make relevant recommendations
- Oversee host facilities (accommodation, back of house, host committee, restaurant, careers fairs, activities, etc.)
- Ensure that my department complies with all legal, statutory and financial requirements
- Implement, review and maintain documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards. This includes maintaining confidential host files, preparing legally required reports/documentation, completing corporate reporting requirements and participating in any related meetings
Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in similar senior HR role(s) in luxury hospitality – ideally 5+ years
• A Bachelor’s in Business (preferably Business or Human Resources) or equivalent experience
• Strong command of Spanish and English. Knowledge of the local labour laws
