What we need from you:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead daily engineering operations by planning, assigning, and adjusting workloads to ensure optimal team performance.
- Coach and mentor team members, providing regular feedback and setting clear performance and development goals.
- Recognize and celebrate great work to foster a culture of excellence.
Collaboration & Communication
- Promote teamwork and high-quality service through consistent communication and coordination with other departments.
- Maintain strong relationships with department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely resolutions.
Guest Experience
- Respond to guest needs promptly to ensure a positive and safe experience.
- Utilize a proactive maintenance program to keep the hotel fully operational and guest-ready.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee all physical operations of the property, including maintenance, repairs, and inventory management.
- Ensure timely procurement of parts and supplies while minimizing waste and supporting sustainability initiatives.
- Responsible for hotel security, helping to reduce risks related to theft, crime, and safety hazards.
- Be ready to jump in during unexpected situations to support the team and get the job done.
Scope & Accountability
- This is a senior-level engineering role in a large, luxury, or flagship hotel with multiple facilities, high-volume outlets, and VIP clientele.
- You’ll supervise a team of skilled tradespeople and contractors and may oversee subordinate managers and supervisors.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred
- Minimum of four years’ experience in general building maintenance and/or construction, or equivalent education and experience.
- Specialized knowledge in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry.
- Certifications such as Level 3 EPA, HVAC/refrigeration, and licensed plumber/electrician/carpenter status may be required.
- Hotel experience is a plus.
- Professional certifications and licenses as required by law.

The salary range for this role is $176,600 - $181,600
