Your day to day
- Managing and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right task
- Setting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures remain ethical and legal
- Maximizing financial returns through financial analysis, data trends and market information while budgeting accordingly
- Enhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolutions
- Supervising a number of clerical accounting employees across a range of functions from Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Payroll
- Being a part of the onboarding process for new Directors of Finance
What we need from you
- 5 years experience in a Director of Finance or similar role
- Experience in hotel accounting or auditing with at least 1 year of Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role
- Knowledge of accounting management duties; negotiating hotel space and tenant leases, processing payroll, performing asset management duties, providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns, etc.
- Professional finance designation or certification preferred
Travel - 100% required
Location - this role can be based in any metropolitan US city
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $155,000. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
