We’re expanding our Global Ethics & Compliance (E&C) function and have a newly created opportunity for a Director, Ethics & Compliance who will play a critical role in shaping and managing our global compliance programme.
Supporting the Head of Legal – Ethics & Compliance, you’ll help develop and lead the day-to-day management of IHG’s global Ethics & Compliance programme including Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery, Antitrust, Sanctions, Gifts & Entertainment Part of our small global E&C team, this non-legal role is pivotal in driving programme oversight, monitoring and reporting, and in building a culture of ethical conduct across our global operations.

What You’ll Do
- Manage and evolve IHG’s global Ethics & Compliance programme framework, policies, and procedures, working closely with Ethics & Compliance Legal colleagues
- Coordinate training and awareness initiatives across all business functions, maintaining training records and engagement metrics
- Oversee risk assessment processes and ensure timely completion of mitigation actions
- Collaborate with Internal Audit, Finance, Risk, Procurement, and Legal to enhance and monitor compliance controls and testing
- Drive the implementation of technology tools supporting due diligence, gifts & entertainment, and policy governance
- Prepare regular reporting for leadership including programme metrics, performance insights, and areas for improvement
- Own the programme planning process, including records management, documentation updates, and strategic development
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in Ethics & Compliance, Risk Management, or related Finance or Audit programme leadership roles
- Strong track record managing or supporting compliance programmes in large, global organisations
- Expertise in developing risk assessments, compliance frameworks, monitoring processes, and control testing
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across functions and levels in a matrixed environment
- Strong project management, data analysis, and reporting capabilities
- Experience with compliance technology platforms and reporting tools
