Your day to day
• Understanding of To-C System Architecture and E2E Data flow
Demonstrate understanding of large-scale consumer-facing system architectures, such as mobile apps, websites, loyalty platforms, CRS booking systems, PMS, CRM, digital payment systems, and data analytics environments. Understand how customer data flows through distributed systems and across regions or cloud environments.

• Lead data related Compliance Assessments
Identify and evaluate all data transfer scenarios across business units. Lead the organization through regulatory compliance processes including Data Export Security Assessment, Personal Information Export Impact Assessment (PIEIA), Standard Contract filing, and Cross-Border Data Certification etc. under CAC requirements.

• Coordinate Cross-Functional Implementation
Act as the focal point among Product & Technology, Legal, Compliance, Security, HR, and Business departments—both in China and globally—to map data flows, review technical architectures, and drive compliant cross-border solutions into operational systems.

• Regulatory Liaison and Policy Monitoring
Track evolving data transfer and cybersecurity regulations in China (e.g., Free Trade Zone negative lists, CAC guidance, cross-border sandbox policies). Serve as liaison with regulators, ensuring timely completion of filings, evaluations, and audits.

• Establish and Govern the Data Compliance Framework
Develop and enhance the company’s data risk & security governance framework, policies, and operational procedures. Define data classification, risk assessment, and security control standards to ensure compliance with China’s Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, and Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL).

What we need from you
• Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Over 5 years of experience in data privacy, IT compliance, or cybersecurity governance; prior experience in multinational corporations, consulting, or law firms preferred.
• Regulatory and Legal Expertise
Understanding of China’s Cybersecurity Law, PIPL, Data Security Law, and related implementing measures (Data Export Security Assessment Measures, Standard Contract Measures for Personal Information Export). Familiar with global privacy frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Technical & Data Governance Knowledge
Proficient in data classification and protection techniques (masking, encryption, access control). Familiar with cloud and cross-border system architectures, API governance, and data flow mapping. Able to evaluate and design compliant data transfer mechanisms integrating business and technical perspectives.
• Project Management & Cross-Cultural Communication
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills; capable of coordinating global and local teams to implement compliance requirements. Experienced in managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple regulatory and technical dependencies. Fluent in English
• Language & Certifications
Fluent in English and Mandarin (both written and verbal). Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CISSP, ISO 27001/27701 Lead Implementer, or PMP are preferred.
