We’re searching for a Conference & Banquet Manager to lead the planning and execution of conferences, meetings, weddings, social celebrations, and corporate events, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully delivered at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Managing the end-to-end planning and operational execution of conferences, meetings, weddings, social events, and corporate functions to ensure a seamless guest experience
● Working closely with Sales and clients to understand event requirements, develop operational plans, and ensure all agreed arrangements are delivered accurately
● Reviewing and coordinating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), function requirements, floor plans, menus, seating arrangements, AV requirements, and other event details with relevant departments
● Conducting pre-event briefings and coordinating closely with Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, Front Office, Sales, and other teams to ensure smooth event execution
● Leading the setup, service, and breakdown of events while ensuring adherence to hotel standards, timelines, and agreed client requirements
● Meeting with event organizers and clients before and during events to manage expectations, address requirements, and ensure a successful event experience
● Supervising, coaching, and motivating banquet colleagues to deliver professional and personalized service throughout each event
● Monitoring event progress, service flow, presentation, staffing, and operational details, taking prompt corrective action when required
● Coordinating multiple events and priorities simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and operational efficiency
● Handling guest and client feedback, last-minute changes, operational challenges, and service recovery situations professionally and promptly
● Supporting departmental budgeting, resource planning, inventory control, and cost management initiatives to achieve business objectives
● Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety, responsible alcohol service, and workplace standards as required by local regulations

What We need from you:

● Diploma or higher education qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, Event Management, or related field preferred
● Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Conference, Banquet, Events, or Food & Beverage operations within a hotel environment, including managerial or supervisory experience
● Strong knowledge of conference, banquet, and event operations, including event planning, setup, service, and breakdown
● Strong understanding of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), function planning, floor plans, event timelines, and coordination with multiple hotel departments
● Excellent communication, client management, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
● Ability to build strong relationships with clients, event organizers, and internal stakeholders while managing expectations effectively
● Ability to manage multiple events, changing requirements, and operational priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment
● Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate operational requirements and resolve issues proactively
● Familiarity with hotel systems, event management processes, operational reporting, and basic cost control preferred
● Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards as required by local regulations
