Surrounded by nature, there are 56 pool suites. Combining eco-credentials and comfort, the design uses natural, renewable, and repurposed materials. The organic and contemporary interiors feature an open-plan bedroom, while the outdoor terrace leads to a private plunge pool for a cooling dip. In addition, there are 15 villas enjoying a prime hillside or oceanfront setting, ranging between one, two, and four bedrooms. The five four-bedroom villas located on the Bluff offer a 270-degree view of one of the most coveted locations in the Caribbean. It has never been more important to be mentally, physically, and spiritually happy. This has been considered in every aspect of the design, with ample light, fresh air, and space.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Develop and promote Recreation programs to ensure guest satisfaction, improve health and physical wellness of individuals, and maximize hotel profitability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the day to day activities Leisure Services Department including but not limited to Guest Recreation and Health Spa, and/or Fitness Center. Schedule employees and assign work to ensure proper coverage. Develop and communicate departmental strategies and goals. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
- Monitor performance and recommend/initiate disciplinary, or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies. Alert the General Manager of potentially serious issues.
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate daily programs for children, teens, and adults, and theme parties and special events.
- Ensure that all Leisure Services equipment is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis. Ensure that all associated facilities are cleaned, mopped, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes. Alert Engineering or appropriate service provider of any maintenance and repair needs.
- Explain and demonstrate use of apparatus and equipment
- Establish and maintain procedures to (1) ensure the security and proper storage of Leisure Department inventory and equipment, (2) ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions, and (3) replenish supplies, inventory, uniforms, etc. in a timely and efficient manner.
- Achieve budgeted revenues, control labor costs & expenses, and maximize profitability within the Leisure Services department. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget which supports the overall objectives of the hotel.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures that ensure guest safety and security and emergency response preparedness, and in compliance with Company loss control policies and current security and safety regulations.
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
- Interact with outside contacts:
- Guests – to ensure their total satisfaction
- Regulatory agencies – regarding safety and emergency matters
- Other contacts as needed (professional certifications).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May serve as Manager on Duty.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Resort Recreation or Hotel Management
2 years Resort Recreation, Health and Fitness or Spa experience,
Applicable certifications may be required.
Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
Handling objects, products and equipment
Lifting or pushing items weighing up to 100 pounds.

- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
