What’s the job? 

Under the direction of the Sous Chef or Section Chef, prepares food in accordance with IHG policies and procedures and Crowne Plaza Melbourne standards.

Your day to day

• Assist in daily food preparation and cooking across all kitchen sections, ensuring timely and high-quality dish presentation.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and food handling in compliance with HACCP and FIFO practices.
• Support kitchen operations by managing requisitions, maintaining equipment, and stepping up during senior chef absences.

• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Certificate lll of Commercial Cookery.
• Ability to work effectively and meet deadlines as part of a team in a high-pressure environment. 
• Good clear communication and wiring skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
