We’re looking for a Cluster Sales Manager for Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane, responsibility for the efficient operation of the Sales & Marketing Department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Sales and Marketing related duties and responsibilities for Crowne Plaza & Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane under the general guidance and supervision of Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing within the limits of established parameter. The person will represent an assigned segment (Corporate, Wholesale, Residential). 

The role includes overseeing, planning, developing and directing all aspects of sales strategy/ activities (sales visit/entertainment, client appreciation activities, IHG sales campaign, oversea business trip, etc). For human aspect, the person needs to lead and promote a resilient and IHG Winning Ways working environment, not limited to Sales & Marketing department but to the hotel team as a whole.

  • Monitors competitors activities benchmarking with Crowne Plaza & Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane and form as market intelligence.
  • Sells to new, existing and prospective customers considering goals set forth in the sales strategy, negotiating optimum rates both static and dynamic offers.
  • Services existing business through the management of account base, expanding the existing base by new business conversion.
  • Refers sales leads to appropriate personnel within IHG through IHG Lead Share if applicable, 
  • Sell all facets of the member hotels.
  • Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls, meeting with principals of target market.
  • Monitors existing business and inputs into sales strategy meetings.
  • Serve as a contact points for client as well as companies in their portfolio.
  • Builds profile of local and overseas market place through attendance at various events and local market place.
  • Evaluation of joint marketing opportunities & partnerships with key clients.
  • Answer questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants etc.). This also includes site inspection,

What We need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field  
  • Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required  
  • Must speak Chinese language
  • Communicates in written and spoken English 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills  
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage, train and coach a team to achieve great result
