Your responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the sales and marketing division of three hotels.
- Provide the strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth.
- Produce a commercial plan that accurately interprets the objectives of the business and maps out the actions and strategies required.
- Support the hotel general managers and revenue team in the preparation of the hotel’s annual budgets
- Lead talented sales teams that makes the vision reality.
- Create an environment energized by the art of the possible, where talented, win-driven professionals are excited to join, learn, exceed their best, and advance. Lead by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Work with the Revenue team to continuously research competitor properties to obtain market and rate intelligence and an understanding of business trends, the competition and their key accounts -Utilize this intelligence to develop strategic plans, ensure the hotel remains competitive in the marketplace and to identify potential business to target
Forge relationships and build rapport. - Cultivate, enhance and leverage external and internal relationships to elevate hotel and market share awareness and drive business.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure the division’s sales plan is on budget to meet or exceed revenue expectations and profit goals.
- Attend and help drive regular business reviews with owning companies and regional commercial team.
- Ensure KPIs and targets are achieved in line with hotel strategies and objectives.
Our requirements
- Proven 10 years of experience in a similar role working within a branded hotel structure.
- Strong commercial outlook on sales and revenue and very focused driven.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Strong financial background with understanding and management of large operational and capital budgets
- Strong Sales background, ideally has built or lead a cluster team in a previous role
- Strong decision making, influencing/consensus building and analytical skills with clear understanding of impact on IHG goals and bottom line
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization and selling strategies
- Strong leadership, team building, interpersonal and communication skills together with excellent customer care, account management and negotiation skills
