Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IHG policies and local statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring full compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Supporting the Finance & Business Support Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Monitoring cash flow, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts, ensuring financial stability and accuracy.
  • Supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, inventory, and fixed assets functions.
  • Preparing financial analyses, variance reports, and insights to support management decision-making.
  • Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Reviewing contracts, agreements, and financial commitments to ensure compliance with approved policies and budgets.
  • Coaching, guiding, and developing the accounting team to ensure strong performance and operational continuity.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of financial, commercial, and employee information.
  • Working closely with all hotel departments to promote financial discipline, cost control, and operational efficiency.
What we need from you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel accounting, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
  • Solid understanding of hotel financial controls, reporting cycles, and audit processes; IHG system experience is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and assume responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
