What is the job?
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at Ronnie’s Restaurant. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining high culinary standards, supporting daily kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Your Day to Day
- Support the Head Chef in ensuring the consistent quality, preparation, and presentation of all dishes at Ronnie’s Restaurant to maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Take ownership of your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient preparation, cooking, and service during all service periods.
- Work closely with the Front of House and F&B teams to maintain strong communication and deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with HACCP and kitchen safety procedures.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of menus, including daily mise en place, specials, and seasonal offerings.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste to support cost management and maintain departmental profitability.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and continuously develop your culinary skills while maintaining strong product knowledge.
- Support a positive and collaborative kitchen culture by communicating effectively with team members and assisting in training junior chefs when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–4 years’ experience as a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie, with a strong passion for culinary arts and relevant kitchen experience. Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts from a recognised training provider are required, with Italian cuisine experience highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- A team-oriented approach, demonstrating collaboration, initiative, and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster – nights, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
