Crowne Plaza Canberra is hiring Full-time Chef De Partie to join our team. As a Chef De Partie at the Crowne Plaza Canberra, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our Food and Beverage operations across our Restaurant (Redsalt), Lume Bar, Crowne Meetings operation and Room service.
A little taste of your day-to-day
- Coordinates and supervises the preparation and presentation of food products to ensure the highest quality of all times.
- Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service.
- Provides direction to demi chefs, commis, cooks and kitchen stewards
- Works with supervisor in the manpower planning and management needs.
- Able to supervise motivate and train a safe skilled and efficient team
- Plans and organizes successful Food and Beverage activities in the hotel and externally
- Following kitchen and hotel policies, procedures and brand standards
- Cookery experience and knowledge in all aspects of restaurants and function catering. Keep abreast with new food technologies in the market modern presentation, cooking techniques and update culinary trends
What We Need From You
- You must have working rights in Australia
- You know the industry and what is expected of you
- Commercial cookery certificate III or related field
- Experience working in a hotel kitchen or similar culinary environment is highly desirable
- Mix of skills and experience as well as personality and passion
- Be able to work autonomously and collaborate with a positive “can do attitude” with front and back of house culinary team
