About the role
As Business Development Executive, you'll manage the MICE Sales in order to convert revenue and maximise short and long-term performance in line with the annual business and strategic marketing revenue plan.
What you'll be doing

Monitor progress towards sales goals and adjust actions as necessary

Report monthly on sales activities and conversion against targets

Identify trends in movement of market mix, pricing, and competition to target prospects

Provide input to hotel business plan and vision regarding market segment and accounts

Support sales initiatives with site inspections, client entertainment, familiarisations, and other events that form part of the Sales and Marketing plan
-
Communicate client requirements and other relevant account / segment information to all relevant departments to ensure their expectations are exceeded

Ensure that commitments are met and value is delivered

Maintain strong presence in the local community by participating in business / industry organisations
What we're looking for

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Proven ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts

Experience in hotel sales, hospitality, tourism, or events (preferred)

Strong understanding of corporate, leisure, and/or MICE segments
-
Confidence in presenting, hosting site inspections, and client networking
-
Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
-
Experience using CRM and hotel systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera, Salesforce – an advantage)

Professional, proactive, and guest-focused approach
