As a barback, you will provide essential support to bartenders, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Your duties include stocking the bar, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with various tasks to help bartenders focus on serving customers.
To succeed as a Barback you will need:
- To be passionate about delivering great service
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender or barback
- Experience with working with customers in a busy environment
- To be willing to learn new things and work as part of a wide hotel team
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Stocking bars with liquor, beer, wine, ice, and supplies by following established procedures.
- Cleaning beverage equipment, glasses, and service areas; assist Bar Wait Staff and bartenders in clearing tables
- Assisting Bartender in the preparation of garnishes and mixes.
- Performing side-work, and any other opening or closing duties as required.
- Clearing and cleaning tables in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Cleaning and/or wiping down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
- Responding in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest requests and complaints.
- Making appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines
