A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Overseeing daily bar operations (primarily Swim Club but keeping a consistent monitor on Birdsong and Hillside) and ensuring adherence to all standards and protocols
  • Developing innovative beverage concepts (including yearly signature menus) and promotions to enhance guest experiences and drive sales, including all three property bars
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to create complementary food and beverage pairings
  • Developing and monitoring the coffee and tea program for all three property bars
  • Leading and motivating bartenders and baristas of all outlets, fostering a culture of teamwork and guest satisfaction
  • Providing ongoing training and professional development to bar team, ensuring top-notch service delivery
  • Maintaining inventory and control costs while ensuring health and safety regulations compliance
  • Collaborating with procurement team to negotiate contracts, spirits adn coffee, and working closely with industry partners to ensure strong supplier support
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor offerings to keep all our bars at the forefront of the market.

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 3 years of hotel experience (4* or 5*) is a must for this position, either at a bar manager or bar director level
  • A holder of local Hygiene Manager Certificate and/or Food Safety and Hygiene certification
  • Proven track record in bar operations with a deep understanding of beverage trends and market dynamics
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead
  • Excellent business acumen, ability to budget, analyse P&Ls and deliver high margins
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Attention to details, good planning, organising and problem solving skills
  • Excellent command in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), speaking and writing; speak other languages is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Candidates with less experience will be considered as Bar Manager.
