Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to banquet menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations.
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
- Support the culinary team during meal preparation by executing cooking techniques with precision, including knife skills and cooking methods.
- Organize and set up banquet stations efficiently, ensuring all necessary tools, utensils, and ingredients are ready for service.
- Collaborate with chefs and catering staff to coordinate meal assembly and presentation for large events or functions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to sanitation standards throughout the shift.
Experience
- Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued.
- Demonstrated skills in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or catering setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety regulations, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for meal preparation and food safety standards.
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with catering services or serving large groups is a plus.
