Your day to day
1. To ensure all Management decisions are implemented. Advise Management of all events and make recommendations. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the outlet.
2. To ensure that the physical appearance of the Outlet is kept up to standard, initiate maintenance requests, specify urgency and personally follow up.
3. To ensure all side duties are carried out as specified in the Outlet manual.
4. To be sure that the Outlet is under control during the absence of the Manager.
5. Maintain personal hygiene and appearance including uniform as per IHG policy.
6. Ensure Buffet service, food service & Beverage service are running as per IHG standards.
7. Any other reasonable duties assigned by Management.
8. To make sure that outlet is running as a separate profit center from other outlets to achieve forecasted revenue and control expenses.
9. To understand and abide by rules, regulations, safety, and fire procedures contained in the Employee Manual.
10. Ensure all staff wears the correct uniform attire and name badges.
11. To be punctual, efficient, and courteous, assuming a pleasant and helpful attitude towards each guest, never speaking in a loud voice to other employees. To constantly strive to give excellent and friendly service, making a point of greeting guests when in the Outlet.
12. Ensure that all customers are satisfied by taking their feedback directly.
13. Ensure that you hold daily briefings of employees to discuss daily specials, the chief’s recommendations, and other operational matters.
14. Supervise the service and delivery of menu items in restaurants, ensuring high quality and consistency.
15. Resolve all complaints during the shift and proceed with IHG standard procedure for further follow up
16. Restaurant supervisor will be responsible for the cashiering aspect of the restaurant.
17. Control stock and monitor security procedures
18. Ensure that all BEOs are printed, checked, and prepared.
o Communicate with all related departments to ensure all BEOs inquiries are met.
19. Supervise outlet service to be up to IHG standards
20. Print out the guest escorting sheet/guest in-house list, the package allowance
What we need from you
• In-house interaction with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the company.
• Beverage awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by a local government agency.
• Problem-solving and training abilities.
• Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
• In the absence of a manager conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
• Monitor standards of guest facilities and services
• Assist with menu and beverage list creation
• Works with a superior on manpower planning and management needs
• Works with a superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget
• To create a high morale level among the department staff.
• To be aware of house rules, set an example in enforcing them, and encourage other employees to do the same.
• Ensure that all areas of responsibility are properly staffed, supervised, and operating smoothly taking into account public holidays, days off, etc.
• Schedule staff in accordance with Management guidelines and the business trend to ensure high productivity and maximum output.
• Conduct training courses for new employees and regular refresher courses for existing employees.
• Assist in the building of an efficient team of employees, taking interest in their welfare, safety, training, and career development.
• Carries out various functions such as employee orientation, coaching, counselling, and disciplinary action as and when required by following company policies and procedures under the guidance of Personnel and Training.
