Your Day to Day

· Manage and grow key Travel Trade accounts and partnerships

· Drive FIT and GIT production through contracting, promotions, and tactical offers

· Plan and participate in sales calls, roadshows, sales blitzes, and trade fairs

· Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and production performance

· Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of contracted business

· Lead, coach, and support the sales team to achieve performance targets

· Develop and maintain great working relationships with key clients and outside contacts to increase revenue
 

Financial

· Achieve personal and team sales targets for Travel Trade revenue and room nights

· Support preparation of sales budgets, forecasts, and marketing plans

· Implement sales strategies to improve occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability

· Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts to track performance against targets

 

Guest Experience

· Ensure smooth handling of Travel Trade bookings, groups, and VIP arrivals

· Communicate all guest requirements and special arrangements to hotel departments

· Promote IHG loyalty programmer, hotel services, and brand offerings

· Support upselling opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue

 

Responsible Business

· Build strong relationships with tourism bodies, travel associations, and local stakeholders

· Promote sustainable and responsible business practices

· Ensure all sales and marketing activities align with IHG brand standards

· Represent the hotel professionally within the Travel Trade and local community

 

Accountability

This role holds accountability for Travel Trade revenue performance in a high-volume hotel environment and contributes directly to the overall commercial success of the hotel.

 

What We Need from You

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Hospitality, or related field

· Minimum 4+ years' experience in hotel sales with strong Travel Trade exposure

· Proven leadership or supervisory experience

· Strong knowledge of local and regional Travel Trade markets

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills

· Proficiency in local language(s); additional languages preferred
