Financial returns:
Control flow and supply of operating equipment, arrange requisition of par stocks and supplies of stewarding storeroom.
Practice economy of chemical & cleaning supplies, electricity and water whenever possible.
People:
Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance.
Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads.
Undertake and execute with deep cleaning projects for all areas as per area mapping
Guest experience:
Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal customers in order to exceed their needs
Take action to address these needs in order to exceed their expectations
Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers
Adhere to hotel brand standards
Inspect all assigned F&B and kitchen areas. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed.
Routinely perform all Stewarding functions to ensure guest satisfaction.
Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
Implement procedures which enhance the guest experience
Responsible business:
Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining ‘green’ initiatives (example: container recycling and cleaning agents).
May maintain procedures for security of lost and found items.
Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
