Job Summary:
The Assistant Sales Manager – Spa will ensure the standards of the spa, etiquette and service is delivered in all interactions with guests, partners and staff. Responsible for all group meetings, initial contact with groups, assistance throughout their program, follow-up, customer service, scheduling and yield management for all groups booking treatments at the spas. As Assistant Sales Manager - Spa, job duties may include, creating custom group programs, driving revenue, working with sales teams on behalf of spa, scheduling appointments, creating specialized programs and itineraries, creating information logs and billing.
A little bit about your day:
Reporting to the Director of Spa, every day is different, but you will:
- Understand and abide by Regent Spa policy and procedures.
- Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable understanding of spa services.
- Drive, develop, and grow the resort’s and Spa’rty revenue for Guerlain Wellness Spa.
- Responsible for attending and representing the spa during meetings, site visits, phone calls, pre-convention events, and any occasion aimed at increasing awareness and driving business.
- Demonstrate respect and sensitivity for guests’ needs and concerns professionally and pleasantly.
- Interact cooperatively with, and with consideration towards, guest and co-workers.
- Act as primary contact for group event coordination including service offerings, Spa’rty groups, group blocks, client contact/relations, and recap/evaluation reporting.
- Assist Spa Directors and Sales team with evaluating the effectiveness of pricing strategies.
- Assist the Spa Directors with creating Spa Group Wellness package offerings, inclusions, pricing, and logistical coordination efforts.
- Oversee all facility booking Spa Group Special Events – reviewing daily for effective use of spaces to maximize revenue potential.
- Develop a complete understanding of and adhere to all government-mandated codes in the areas of fire, sanitation, health, and safety.
- Receive and diffuse guest concerns, comments, or complaints with discretion and urgency.
- Anticipate guest’s needs and adhere to Regent standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star Standards.
- Maintain a complete knowledge of the following:
- The Spas and Hotel policies, procedures, amenities, services, and membership options.
- The Guerlain Wellness at Regent location and team structure.
- Spa menus, including a la carte services, signature treatments, packages, etc.
- Pricing, fees, and charges for all spa services.
- Treatment room types, décor, locations, and amenities.
- Daily appointments, arrival of guests, availability of appointments, specials, etc.
- Directions to the spa and check-in procedures.
- Retail brand, services, and special promotions.
- Membership benefits in the spa and cross-over promotion detail.
What We need from you:
- Minimum of 2-year college Associate’s Degree.
- Must demonstrate a polished and professional demeanor, with a strong command of both written and verbal English.
- Must be highly organized, punctual, and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in Spa Group Sales or Group Sales coordination within a luxury spa/hotel environment preferred.
- Possess the ability to make rational business decisions and demonstrate analytical thinking and acute problem-solving.
- Prior experience with Book 4 Time, Booker and Spa Soft spa software preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
- Exhibit technical skill of computer literacy and competency in learning new software programs.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
- Ability to respond to guest and staff concerns with urgency and professionalism.
What you can expect from us:
The hourly rate for this role is $36.40 with local incentive plan. This hourly rate is applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the hourly rate may be modified in the future. A colleague’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
