Assistant Restaurant Manager - InterContinental Abu Dhabi

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our renowned Italian dining outlet. The ideal candidate will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, and compliance in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly do:

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Deliver outstanding guest service and handle guest feedback professionally and promptly
• Support in supervising, training, and motivating the service team to uphold brand and service standards
• Ensure compliance with InterContinental brand standards, hygiene, health & safety regulations
• Monitor and control inventory, stock levels, and requisitions
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and achieving revenue targets
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service flow
• Prepare reports, schedules, and duty rosters as required
• Support the Restaurant Manager in driving upselling initiatives and promotional activities

What we need from you:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end Italian restaurant
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, beverages, and fine dining service standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Guest-focused mindset with the ability to perform under pressure
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage
