The InterContinental Hotels Group® at Dubai Festival City consists of four hotels. These include the luxury and lifestyle brand InterContinental, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites, the premium Crowne Plaza, and the essentials Holiday Inn & Suites. In addition to over 1,600 rooms, the cluster boasts a selection of 16 restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800-square-metre Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000-square-metre Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, and state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool facilities. A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Primarily responsible for generating business and ensuring the seamless execution of events for Holiday Inn & Suites , while strategically supporting and collaborating across the cluster — including Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, and InterContinental Residences Dubai Festival City Hotels  — to drive overall commercial success.
  • Developing and implementing event strategies, including setting goals, objectives, and budgets.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to determine event themes, formats, and target audiences.
  • Managing the event budget, including tracking payments and expenses to ensure financial accountability.
  • Making strategic decisions to optimise resources and achieve desired outcomes within budgetary constraints.
  • Overseeing all logistical elements of events, such as venue selection, accommodation, transportation, audiovisual set-up, catering, and equipment hire.
  • Ensuring smooth operations and timely execution throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships by understanding event requirements and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Working closely with clients to develop event concepts, themes, and programmes.
  • Supervising on-site event operations, including staff coordination and real-time problem-solving.
  • Ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all participants.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks, while ensuring full compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Gathering feedback from clients and attendees to evaluate event success.
  • Analysing post-event data to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes for future events.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event management.
  • Integrating innovative ideas and strategies to enhance event quality and impact.
  • Progressing into an "In the Know" product expert across the full portfolio of services offered by IHG Dubai Festival City Hotels.
  • Evolving into a “Destination Dubai and UAE Market Expert” for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), by gaining deep knowledge of competitive sets, STR performance, and socio-economic developments impacting the hospitality landscape.

What we need from you

  • Degree from a hotel school or a bachelor’s in Business Administration or Tourism.
  • Proficient in Delphi, Opera PMS, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Over 3 years of experience in event sales within a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Passionate about hospitality, with a strong drive for results.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
