What’s the job?

 

As the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will support the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily operations of all restaurants, bars, and banquet facilities at Crowne Plaza Resort Guam. You will ensure exceptional guest experiences, consistent brand standards, and operational excellence across all outlets. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong people management skills, financial acumen, and a passion for delivering world-class dining experiences.

 

Your-day-to-day

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets, in-room dining, and banquet facilities.

  • Ensure brand standards, service quality, and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.

  • Support the implementation of innovative F&B concepts, menus, and promotions.

  • Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in all service and preparation areas.

  • Lead by example in delivering personalized and memorable guest experiences.

  • Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively, ensuring prompt resolution.

  • Maintain a visible presence in all outlets, engaging with guests to enhance satisfaction.

  • Support in leading, coaching, and developing outlet managers and their teams.

  • Assist with workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding of F&B colleagues.

  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Ensure departmental training plans are executed effectively.

  • Assist in achieving revenue targets, cost control, and profitability across outlets.

  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and departmental expenses.

  • Support in driving upselling initiatives and maximizing average check values.

  • Analyze performance metrics (RevPASH, guest satisfaction, labor productivity) and recommend improvements.

  • Work closely with the Culinary, Sales & Marketing, and Events teams to optimize business opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, HACCP, and IHG operational standards.

  • Act as Duty Manager as required.

What we need from you

 

  1. Education - High School Diploma is required 
  2. Service years - At least 5 years of experience managing Food & Beverage operations at a full-service hotel. 
  3. Knowledge and skills
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Proven track record in driving guest satisfaction and financial results.

  • Excellent knowledge of F&B trends, service techniques, and luxury dining standards. 

  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees. 

  • Problem solving, reasoning, analytical, motivating, and training abilities are often used when estimating food productions, coordinating functions, and performing general management duties. 

  • Basic math skills, reading, and writing are used when completing paperwork, budgets, and other reports.

  • Must be able to obtain a government-issued Food Handler’s Certification.

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.

  1. LanguageFluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
