As the Assistant In-Room Dining Manager, you'll play a key role in managing and elevating our In-Room Dining operations—ensuring personalized service, premium standards, and seamless guest experiences day and night.
You'll work closely with the In-Room Dining Manager and the wider F&B team to drive service excellence, optimize operations, and uphold the standards that define our IHG brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of In-Room Dining, ensuring all guest orders are delivered accurately, promptly, and with exceptional presentation.
Lead, train, and support a team of in-room dining servers, order-takers, and attendants—ensuring consistency in service and adherence to brand standards.
Maintain operational standards in line with IHG guidelines including hygiene, food safety, grooming, and guest service expectations.
Coordinate with culinary and stewarding teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, efficiently resolving any service issues with empathy and urgency.
Monitor and manage stock levels, equipment, and supplies to ensure operational readiness at all times.
Assist in scheduling, labor management, and cost control to support budget targets.
Support the In-Room Dining Manager in menu planning, promotions, and service innovations that enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, team collaboration, and guest-focused service.
What we need from youAt least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in In-Room Dining or F&B within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest service.
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
Experience with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
