We are currently looking for a sharp and proactive Assistant Finance Manager to join our Finance team and help keep our operations running smoothly.
As our Assistant Finance Manager, you’ll be ensuring our financial "engine" is always tuned to perfection. This isn’t just about spreadsheets—it’s about supporting the entire hotel operation so we can keep delivering those world-class guest experiences we’re known for.

 

A Little Taste of Your Day-to-Day

At our boutique retreat, no two days are exactly the same. You’ll be the heartbeat of our financial operations, blending technical precision with a collaborative spirit.

Leading the Flow:

  • Team Champion: You’ll directly oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Purchasing departments, acting as a mentor and role model for the team.

  • Operational Excellence: You’ll ensure that Accounts Payable, Income Audit, and General Cashier functions run like clockwork, always in line with our policies.

  • Guest Connection: You’ll help resolve guest billing disputes and queries, ensuring our high service standards extend all the way to the final invoice.

The Numbers & Strategy:

  • The Closing Act: Take full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring we hit every hotel and corporate deadline with ease.

  • Precision Reporting: Prepare financial statements for the Executive Office and keep our balance sheet reconciliations in perfect shape.

  • Strategic Support: You won’t just report numbers; you’ll dive into the annual budget and forecasting processes, helping us plan for a successful future.

  • Internal Controls: You’ll maintain our financial "safety net" (IHG HAM and CSA guidelines) and lead the way during internal or external audits.

Collaboration & Responsibility:

  • Department Partner: You’ll be the "go-to" person for Front Office, F&B, and Sales, helping them navigate their financial queries.

  • Step Up: When the Director of Finance is away, you’ll be the trusted face of the department, representing us with confidence.

  • Green Thinking: Beyond the ledger, you’ll help us stay responsible by monitoring our Green Engage compliance and energy metrics.


What We Need From You

  • Education: A University degree in Accounting (or equivalent).

  • Experience: You’ve already spent about 2 years as an Assistant Financial Controller, ideally within the fast-paced world of hotels.

  • Tech-Savvy: You’re a pro with Microsoft Excel and have a good handle on PMS/POS systems. If you already know Opera and PeopleSoft, you’re one step ahead!

  • The Right Mindset: You’re a "hands-on" professional who loves a collaborative environment and isn’t afraid to take the lead when needed.
