Provide management with timely financial analysis for effective decision-making. Prepare all statutory and management requirements of InterContinental Hotels Group and Owners. Perform professional accounting duties to maintain control over expenses, income, assets and liability of the hotel to ensure the security of the assets of the company in a centralized accounting environment.

FINANCIAL RETURNS

·Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget. Duties include:
oAssists in co-ordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget
oAssists in monitoring and controlling departmental cost on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
oAssists in the preparation of the hotel strategic plan, goals program, and Finance Departmental Budget
·Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with other departments in matters concerning accounting related matters and internal control
·Works with Superior on manpower planning and management needs
·Interacts, as required, with individuals outside the hotel including hotel’s bank, tax auditors and other hotels and IHG corporate offices
·Ensures training needs analysis of Finance staff is carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs.

·Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal customers and guests in order to exceed their needs
·Take action to address these needs in order to exceed their expectations

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
·Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines

·Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
·Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
·Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
·Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements

Required Skills

·Able to communicate with and lead colleagues

Qualifications

·Minimum Diploma or equivalent

Experience

Minimum 2 Years of related work experience
