Job Overview
Perform a variety of daily accounting duties to ensure correct reporting of revenues and costs. Duties performed are at entry-level with supervision from higher-level accountants.

Duties and Responsibilities
PEOPLE
- Promote teamwork and work closely and efficiently with accounting team.
- Provide quality service to all operational departments, through effective communications and prompt response.
- Maintain a respectful and professional presence in the working environment.
BUSINESS
- Record and reconcile revenue daily with a full understanding of charges and revenue, such as guest laundry, coat check, limo and so on.
- Review credit card refunds daily and ensure all transactions in compliance with internal and external audit standards.
- Handle credit card chargebacks in a timely manner.
- Sort and review house checks daily and validate complimentary F&B checks according to hotel policy.
- Assist group billings and handle client communication in a professional manner.
- Assist with monthly cash counts.
- Be able to shift priorities and handle ad hoc assignments.
- Verify and process group refund requests with proper backup.
- Understand and diligently follow Accounting and operational deadlines.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Prior expense in Hotel Accounting, Front Office, or Reservations preferred.
- Require solid knowledge of Opera, Excel, Word, and other business software.
- This job requires ability to perform the following
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds, handling objects, supplies, boxes of merchandise, etc.
- Standing up and moving about both front and back of the house, including bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and so on.
- Keeping verbal and written communicating with colleagues and clients

$29.00 to $32.00 is the hourly pay range for this role based on experience.
