The Account Director is responsible for developing and maintaining sales activities for the assigned account portfolio within the assigned segment (e.g. MICE, Corporate & Leisure). Key activities include sales planning, account strategy development, inquiry handling, contract negotiation and other activities aimed at meeting client needs and maximizing revenue and market share.

Your day to day
Financial returns
• Support the Segment Director and sales leadership in the development of segment strategy
• Manage and develop portfolio of accounts to maximize market share and revenue
• Develop and review account plans and account profiles at least annually with such templates completed and posted to appropriate communication channels and sales systems
• Develop deep understanding and knowledge of assigned accounts, and gain specific sector expertise when necessary
• Utilize internal intelligence and develop analytical capability to understand market share and drive IHG preference through account base
• Develop and maintain contact with key business generators (MICE planners, travel agents, etc.)
Guest Experience
• Support Travel manager in integrating the company's corporate travel and increasing the utilization rate of negotiated prices.
• Support customers in managing MICE requirements, providing convenient consulting services and matching them with suitable IHG hotels.
• Having the ability to organize customer events and enhance customer engagement by designing the event content.

What we need from you
• Degree or Diploma in Marketing, business or Hospitality Management
• Sales experience preferably with 5-10 years in a multi-unit capacity
• Experience in dealing with international and regional clients and promoting multi hotel brands and destinations is preferred
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines and commitments, and complete tasks and projects as required
• Strong organizational skills required to maintain electronic and paper filing systems
• Strong knowledge of IHG products, rates and marketing programs
• Maintain a high level of knowledge pertaining to policy and procedure and communicate knowledge effectively to all personnel when applicable
• Demonstrate clear and effective verbal and written skills for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to clients, management and team members as well as producing reports
• Excellent command of both English and Chinese (Mandarin), oral and written
• Excellent PC skills
