Role Purpose

The Portfolio Revenue Manager (PRM) is responsible for driving optimal revenue performance across an assigned portfolio of hotels by embedding data‑driven strategies, IHG revenue ways of working, and tactical commercial initiatives. This role leads revenue strategy development, implementation, and evaluation across pricing, demand analysis, yield optimization, segmentation, business mix, and selling tactics while providing direct support to Company Managed Hotels (CMH) to maximize revenue and profit streams. 

The PRM also supports regional leadership by delivering strategic programs, performance insights, process improvements, training, budgeting support, and the deployment of tools and resources that improve competitive performance for hotels. 


Key Responsibilities

Hotel Revenue Leadership

  • Serve as the direct revenue leader for 2–6 hotels, conducting daily, weekly, and monthly revenue generation calls depending on hotel service level. 
  • Maintain expertise across all IHG revenue systems, tools, and processes for self and direct reports.
  • Stay informed of industry and market trends to proactively drive performance improvements across assigned hotels. 

Strategy Development & Execution

  • Develop, implement, and assess revenue strategies covering pricing, demand forecasting, selling strategies, segmentation, yield optimization, and business mix management. 
  • Drive adoption of new systems, tools, programs, and system releases while ensuring teams are trained and aligned.
  • Lead or participate in strategic initiatives and projects as required.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with RSPD, Senior PRMs, and cross‑functional teams to share best practices, improve deliverables, and support business needs across tools, data, reporting, and processes. 
  • Provide business insights to commercial teams on hotel performance, trends, and future outlook.
  • Attend portfolio reviews with commercial teams as required.

Talent Development & Leadership

  • Support the Director in managing the IHG Revenue (RMH) P&L.
  • Build the talent pipeline across RMH through coaching, development, and leveraging team strengths. 
  • Promote IHG’s Winning Ways and Growth Behaviors: Move Fast, Think Return, Talk Straight, Build One Team. 

Operational Support

  • Support New Hotel Opening Process (NHOP) setup, directly or through team members.
  • Provide guidance to area‑managed hotels not currently in the program when required.
  • Uphold the RMH team’s reputation as the preferred resource for revenue performance solutions. 

Required Skills & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 

Experience

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, revenue management, or cluster revenue management. Cluster experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in central reservation systems and revenue management systems.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategy, yield management optimization, and forecasting techniques.
