As HR Manager, you’ll make sure our employees are enabled and empowered through HR programs in your hotel. You’ll also promote a positive team culture while ensuring our colleagues deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life.
- Direct/Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing level
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues
- Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect
- Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive - linking up departments to create sense of one team
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department
- Recommend or initiate any HR related actions where needed
- Create programs to foster a positive work environment for all employees. Support and administer an annual team member satisfaction survey
- Oversee maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees
- Ensure hotel or company hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed
- Build great relations with outside contacts
- Meets with Heads of Departments to review their recruitment needs, ensuring they are following their manpower budgets
- Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labour costs….
- Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community and promote team member involvement in local community
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, policies and procedures
- Maintain HR compliance/IHG standards
- Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks
What we expect from you:
- 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Knowledge of Local Labour and Employment Regulations.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Good writing skills
