Key Accountabilities

1.Strategic Planning & Implementation: Work closely with the GC LT, CR LT and GC CASR teams in developing regionalised strategies, targets and governance, focusing areas like energy, carbon, waste and water as well as community. Lead the translation of global CR goals into regional action plans, ensuring they are culturally and operationally relevant.
2.Program Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and manage regional delivery plans, providing guidance and support to the business where needed. Lead the execution of the GC CR environmental and community strategic initiatives and ensure programs aligned with the market needs and successfully embedded across all IHG hotels and corporate office if applicable in the region. Monitor the progress of CR programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and achieve their intended impact.
3.Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for CR matters in the region, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including global CR, GC internal teams, NGOs, community groups. Proactively work with other departments to understand their priorities and how sustainability agenda can be embedded into the overall business strategy. Act as a key advisor on sustainability and CR matters, representing IHG’s interest with external stakeholder in GC.  When it is applicable, represent IHG GC in external forums and events to enhance the company’s CR profile.
4.Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present regular reports/updates on CR activities, outcomes, and impact to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Collaborate with the Communications team to develop and disseminate CR-related content to internal and external audience.
5.Budget Management: Manage the approved budget for CR activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximise impact.Track and report on CR spending, enduring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
6.Leadership & Development Provide guidance and support to junior CR team members, fostering a culture of sustainability and social responsibility within the organisation.

 

Education:

•Bahelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Minimum of 5 years in corporate responsibility, sustainability, or a related filed, with a track record of successful program management.

 

Critical Expertise & Experience:

•Strong understating of ESG principles, sustainability practices and community engagement.
•Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with senior leadership in a complex matrix organisation.
•Highly developed project management skills to ensure effective and efficient delivery of programs, incl. proven ability to manage budgets and resources.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

•In-depth knowledge of a full range of ESG issues, key trends and best practices with hospitality and across industries
•Strong analytical capabilities, and ability to surface insights and craft communications for senior leadership
•Experience in developing business cases for sustainability strategies
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently, and to perform concurrent tasks that require technical and functional competence. Demonstrated clear, concise and succinct communicational skills, including adapting both verbal and written communications to the needs and level of the user.
•Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused orientation, including providing clear, accurate information; explaining procedures or materials or providing supplemental information; anticipating problems or questions.
•Fluency in English and Mandarin communication (spoken and written)
